Tough decisions for Bilic
Today could be Slavan's toughest match so far in terms of team selection. We have a team very much in form and we have players returning from injury and Moses back available after being unavailable for the Chelsea game.

Most people will say never change a winning side but modern football is much more of a squad game and subtle changes to line up's and tactics are needed, however harsh they seem.

I believe there are 4 key decisions Slavan will need to make today.

Collins/Ogbonna - Collins has been almost faultless in the last 2 games but Watford will offer something completely different today. Their 2 strikers Deeney and Ighalo are both pacey strikers with decent movement off the ball, I feel for this reason Ogbonna may be the better option of the 2 despite how harsh it would be on Ginge.

Noble/Obiang - Quite a mixed season for the skipper so far. No one can doubt how hard he works for this team and the respect his team mates have for him but he needs to cut out the sloppiness in his game.
Obiang has looked very assured when playing and could quite easy become a first team regular but I would still stick by the skipper for this game as I believe he can get back to the basics he does so well and he still caries a big influence over the team.

Zarate/Moses - If we were at home I don't believe there would be any question here, Zarate would start. It being an away game though Moses with his extra pace may get the nod. I think Bilic will stick with Zarate in his starting 11

Sakho/Carroll - We all know what Sakho does for this team and how he is a major part in the way we play and that Carroll is a completely different player. Would Carroll work in the Sakho role? I don't believe so and this would mean a shift in how we play. This would not necessarily be a bad thing, we certainly have the players to play many different tactics and styles.
For me Sakho still starts but if the big man comes on and influences a game as much as he has the last 2 then Bilic's choices will be even more difficult.

Team for Watford

................................Adrian

Jenkinson...Tomkins...Ogbonna...Cresswell

........................Noble....Kouyate

....Zarate.................Payet..............Lanzini

................................Sakho

Fraser on form Noble should be dropped so yes Obiang should be given the chance to prove he can do that midfield job better than Noble.

I have absolutely no doubt Noble is easily replaceable.....if Gary O'Neil can do it im sure Obiang can do it too.

Oh yeah, couldn't give a fuck, it just makes me laugh. In fairness to Sky, the pundits have jumped on board with us bigging us right up, but the BBC can't fucking bear it. 'Has a game against the teams in 15th & 9th ever been as greatly anticipated'? Fucking Liverpool loving mugs.

Eerie - Yea, who gives a fuck.

Some bloke said to me last night something like 'what about the 'ammers then' I just shrugged my shoulders and said yea we're doing alright..fuck the others.

I love just how far UNDER the radar we are, literally barely a fucking mention of us, a team who have created history with our away form, and have just beaten last year's Champions.

Well, Martin Keown briefly mentioned that we should dream of the top 4, after tipping us for RELEGATION in the summer.

Silly fucking cunts.

So Rodders, you think Obiang should be ahead of Noble?

I thought Obiang was ABSOLUTE DOGSHIT, Rodders?

Re: Tough decisions for Bilic
Well what we do know is Bilic seems keen on keeping Obiang out of the side for some reason.

It has been stated this is because Obiang was not his signing.

Obiang has look impressive and more than capable of slipping in our midfield. In my opinion this has been Bilics only fault in the last 6 games......on form Noble should have been dropped.

It will be interesting to see how Bilic will deal with the situation when Noble inevitably gets another yellow and gets a ban.

Ogbonna over collins
Noble over obiang
Moses over zarate
Sakho over carrol

Re: Tough decisions for Bilic
If Reid is fit and having trained I think will replace Collins.
Moses I expect to return.

The strength at the moment is that players like Ogbonna, Collins & Obiang who have done nothing wrong have to wait.
And then there is Carroll, Valencia & Antoniou and shortly hopefully Song.

Its still early season and things are being broken up by international breaks but as time goes by all these players will be needed.
Injuries, suspensions, rest & some will come in and out of form.
Don't stress people. Players will be hungry and they know they have to perform or be replaced.

I think he may make some changes - setting up slightly differnetly to get other teams thinking a little more.... I have a feeling Carroll may start, there's been a lot in the press with Billic praising him this week.

Re: Tough decisions for Bilic
well not really, Vodka has not done his homework.
Reid is fit and will play. He's our top defender and leader at the back. Collins has done well but we need Reid's mobility .
Moses the better option away from home as said but fine if Zarate starts.
Carroll and Sakho have played well together so that could be an option later in the game.

Re: Tough decisions for Bilic
Of the four decisions he apparently has to make.
Ogbonna
Obiang - though this won't happen
Moses
Sakho

Pace and steel is needed today. Still stalemate after 60 minutes the Zarate comes on with Carroll

Re: Tough decisions for Bilic
Not one of our starting midfield/attacking players is guaranteed 90 minutes these days. That's the advantage of a good bench and there is still Song to come.

Re: Tough decisions for Bilic
Collins is a back up CB for us now, so that means when the first choice CB's are fit again they will come back in. That's pretty much how it works, so I expect to see Reid back in.

Noble will not be dropped for Obiang. Not gonna happen.

I would give Moses the nod over Zarate, for no other reason than that I think he is the better player, although I'm not against Zarate staying in, but I fancy Bilic may put Moses back in.

Sakho will start but is now under a lot of pessure from Carroll, running the channels may not enough for him to keep his spot, fancy he needs a goal or at least an assist.

Re: Tough decisions for Bilic
Aside from spelling Slavs name wrong, some good points.
I think obiang for noble would be a good move, not sure he will do that though.

Vexed 12:48 Sat Oct 31
Re: Tough decisions for Bilic
Much as it's unfair on Collins, I'd be tempted to drop him if Reid was fit because he has a tendency to do something ridiculous that costs us a goal every si often and we must be due one soon.

Vodka.

That post is possibly one of the best I have read on here in my 11 years.
